When might a dental prosthesis be necessary?

There are cases when procedures aimed at preserving the tooth are no longer sufficient, and our teeth cannot be treated. The loss of a tooth can be due to a cyst, traumatic injury, irreparable decay in a non-treatable location, or a tooth loosened by periodontal disease, among other reasons. Regardless of the cause of tooth loss, replacement is important not only for aesthetic reasons but also for speech, communication, and nutrition. Tooth loss can also lead to temporomandibular joint (TMJ) problems. Fixed dental prostheses are not only used to replace missing teeth but can also serve to aesthetically restore discolored, damaged, or heavily filled teeth.

What are the advantages of dental prostheses?

With the advancement of science and modern techniques, we can now create beautiful, natural-looking dental prostheses that blend seamlessly with the existing teeth. Replacing missing teeth is also important for preventing positional changes (tilting) of the adjacent teeth. Replacing lost teeth is essential for nutrition and speech, as it can disrupt both chewing and sound production.

What are the options for dental prostheses?

There are several types of dental prostheses available to provide the best possible solution for your problem. For teeth with aesthetic issues but still salvageable, we can create a veneer or crown. For replacing a single missing tooth, a bridge or implant-based prosthesis is the solution. In cases of larger, multiple tooth loss, we recommend a partial removable prosthesis, while for complete tooth loss, full dentures or implants may be the solution.

The typical preparation time for dental prostheses is as follows:

  • Fixed prosthesis (crown, bridge, crown or bridge for implant): 5 working days
  • Partial removable denture: 10 – 12 working days
  • Complete removable denture: 15 working days

In our clinic, the above preparation times are part of the basic service, and we do not charge any additional fees for prostheses completed within this time frame!

They have created such a smile on my face that now I can speak to people confidently and sincerely. As for the treatments, I was always welcomed with warmth, and they were always understanding whenever I had any issues or concerns.

It turned out that my wisdom tooth was in the wrong position and would shift my upper teeth, so I booked an appointment for wisdom tooth extraction. Since they removed two of my wisdom teeth, I was nervous about the procedure, but when I arrived, my dentist reassured me and explained that the whole process wouldn’t be painful, which turned out to be true.

Several years ago, I started visiting Dr. Andrea Pölös, and every time I experienced that she fully took care of me, ensuring that I felt comfortable and went through the dental treatments pain-free. During this time, she was on vacation a few times, and that's when I met Dr. Balázs Dudás, who also dedicated himself fully to making sure I left the clinic satisfied.

Sitting in the dental chair, I was initially terrified, but Dr. Balázs Károly Barna, the dentist, calmed me down with his patience and attentiveness. I am grateful that we found a solution to my long-standing problem, and from now on, I always come to the dentist with a smile and a good mood.

Whenever I had any problem, I could call Dr. Andrea Pölös at any time. A few months ago, I had my upper teeth treated, and since then, my life has completely changed. I've opened up, I dare to smile, and I warmly recommend this dental clinic to everyone.

From the very first visit, I experienced the friendly and youthful atmosphere that the clinic embodies, and the compassionate treatment I received at that time set the tone for my attitude toward the clinic and future treatments. Since then, surprisingly to me, I happily return for check-ups and treatments because I know that my doctors are working hard and want me, as a language teacher, to stand in front of my students with a confident smile.

For a long time, I was afraid to smile because the gap between my teeth was very large. I felt like everyone was looking at that big "summer break" on my tooth. But I got fed up! I visited PrimaDenta Dentistry exclusively. I had heard very good reviews about it. Indeed, everyone is very friendly, easy to find, and reasonably priced! I quickly made it from Algyőr. My dental restoration has been working very well since then, and I’m completely satisfied with it. Now, I smile all the time, and my smile reaches from ear to ear.

Zsófia Hakucsák, Algyő

From the very first email exchange – which I received a response to within half an hour – I found the doctor to be very likable. My husband and I have been visiting her for 3 years, and we always receive the utmost care, attention, and kindness. My first treatment was a tartar removal, and after that, we proceeded step by step. The necessary root canal treatment was done, and it was completely painless. I also had a crown replacement, dental fillings, and tooth extraction, and I can confidently say that she is a PROFESSIONAL, yes, with all capital letters! Her assistants are also kind, and the clinic's equipment reflects the doctor's high standards and approach to her work.

Adrienn Megyesiné Vigh, Szeged

I wholeheartedly recommend the doctor to everyone! She is incredibly kind, and she explains every treatment process in detail and with precision. For anyone who is afraid of dental treatments, this is the place where they will definitely not feel fear, as it provides a calm, fear-free, and pleasant environment for healing. I am happy to have found this doctor.

Krisztina Puskás, Szeged

I have visited PrimaDenta Dentistry multiple times, and I have had nothing but positive experiences. The doctor is very thorough, kind, and attentive both to her work and her patients. During the treatments, the procedures were always painless. In fact, I felt comfortable and even enjoyed the treatments due to the pain-free experience, the doctor's attentiveness, and the pleasant environment. I highly recommend it to everyone!
